031 - JGB Fall '93 with Lenny Stubbe

In this episode, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the final Jerry Garcia Band East Coast Tour. In Fall of '93, the JGB played a mess of dates back East (as they say) and a whole lot of fun was had. Our guest, Lenny Stubbe was there in Buffalo (11/5/93) and reports his recollections and overall impressions of the tour. Your host attended a couple of these as well.

Naturally, talking about music leads to listening to music and some choice selections from the tour are included for your pleasure.

As mentioned on the show, you can still grab t-shirts, mugs (travel & otherwise), and stickers over on the Redbubble site. Order now to be ready for the holidays!

  1. Howdy!I found your podcast through Spotify a while ago and just came back to it last night. And evidently my timing is perfect.I was at the Buffalo Jerry show and was BLOWN AWAY.I could tell it was an exceptional show and you and Lenny have expounded on that delightfully.
I had seen Jerry several times(including a great show on 3-19-78 with Maria Muldaur ON Palm Sunday with Palm Sunday as an encore)!Buffalo was my first The Maker and I was truly moved.
Thanks for what you do and please thank Lenny also. And props to ALL tapers..Much Love!
BTW,I first came to your podcast after some surfing and finding your One-Off Venues Set1 and Set 2.
My second Dead show was in my hometown for a great one off venue show at Allegheny College on 4-15-71 (following my first show at another "one off " Woodstock. Check out the Allegheny show.Peace
